May 2010: OpinionArchives is pleased to announce an important addition to our
electronic collection of leading journals of opinion: The New Leader.
The New Leader, which began in 1924, is a journal of news analysis and opinion.
It's liberal anti-communist magazine has attracted considerable attention by
publishing articles from dissident writers and works circulating underground in the
Soviet Union and Eastern Europe . It first published Joseph Brodsky and Aleksandr
Solzhenitsyn in the United States
March 2009: The complete digital archive of The New Yorker is now available
through OpinionArchives. The New Yorker is a weekly magazine with a signature
mix of reporting on national and international politics and culture, humor and
cartoons, fiction and poetry, and reviews and criticism of books, movies, theatre,
classical and popular music, television, art, and fashion.
March 2009: OpinionArchives adds great depth to our collection with the release
of Dissent, a quarterly magazine of the left with in depth domestic and
international coverage.
December 2008: OpinionArchives has enhanced metasearch to support Date
Range Searching and User Specified Targets. The user can now specify groups of
publisher archives to search.
March 2008: OpinionArchives is pleased to announce we've broadened our
coverage of access to our collection of scholarly electronic resources. We have
now released support of Firefox as well because so many of our customers have
been migrating to this browser. This important addition will allow access to our
collection to a growing percentage of our customers.
February 2008: We are also pleased to announce our partnership with Serials
Solutions. OpinionArchives is a Knowledgeworks Certified Content Provider. This
relationship enables our mutual customers to maintain the highest quality
bibliographic metadata for our collection. KnowledgeWorks customers will enjoy

October 2007: Federated Search software released in partnership with Care
Affiliates, IndexTechnology, Ebsco, and OpinionArchives. Now users can query 9
publishers archives with a single search of keywords, authors and/or dates.
September 2007: Publishers agree to generous discount for bundled titles for
library Community. Recognizing the extreme budgetary restrictions on libraries,
OpinionArchives
pushed through discounts in the 35-80% range for most institutions.
August 2007: Commonweal Magazine and American Spectator Digital Archives
are both completed and released. Commonweal represents Catholic perspectives
and American Spectator presents strong conservative views of political and cultural
events.
April 2007: Harper's Magazine, the oldest general interest
monthly in America, has just released it's digital archive. Brought
to you by OpinionArchives, this historic treasure has a tradition of
fine writing, original thought and a unique perspective on politics,
society, the environment and culture.
January 2007: OpinionArchives announces a new addition to our
digital archives. The New York Review of Books joins
OpinionArchives collection of scholarly Journals.
October 2006: OpinionArchives is quoted in The Library Journal.
